Shivakumar Alleges Vendetta Policy by BJP
However, Shivakumar rejected the accusations made against him and accused the ruling Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) of a policy of vendetta against him.
“Congress has been fighting on behalf of the people since Covid-19 and exposing the failures of the Narendra Modi government. Such raids will not prevent me from fighting injustice. We will win against such tactics in the people’s court,” said the leader of the Congress.
The former Karnataka minister also said he was unaware of the cash seized by the CBI during the raids. “It could be the home of someone you are simply connected to and don’t know about money,” he added.
Regarding his assets, Shivakumar said that he has nothing to hide as he is a businessman and farmer. The leader of the Congress also affirmed that he has shown all the documents of his assets to the officials.
