Actress and presenter Shibani Dandekar decided to make pasta with mushrooms and cream sauce on Wednesday. The entire process was filmed by boyfriend Farhan Akhtar and then posted on Instagram. Although Shibani herself confessed that she is not a good cook, the criticism she received in the video was not what she was looking for either.
The video begins with Shibani asking Farhan not to speak or comment while filming her, while pouring olive oil into a pan to prepare the dish. Then he proceeded to add garlic and chives.
Shibani was cooking under the supervision of his home to help Sunita, and asked her for instructions from time to time. So much so that it seemed that he did not know how to increase or decrease the gas flame.
He also asked Sunita if he had boiled the pasta with a little salt, and help said no. Shibani made his disappointment clear with an exasperated, “Sunitaaa, oh my God, I’m telling you. Now we have to improvise.” She was also looking for the word “improvise,” and received help from Farhan to form her sentence.
Her attitude towards Sunita didn’t sit well with many Instagram followers, who asked her to show some respect to her maid. One follower commented, “Please show a little respect for your maid who prepares all your meals. Also, I don’t think you’ve ever cooked before. You don’t need to be a brain to turn off the gas stove and what kind of pasta are you cooking anyway? Spring onions in pasta? Wow 👏 Please improvise your cooking skills before improvising on your plate !!! (sic) ”
Shibani admitted that she is very bad at cooking and rarely ventures into cooking. All the more reason he had no right to criticize his cook, many users noted. “I mean you can’t even turn the gas on to the minimum and you’re making your cook feel guilty for not adding salt to the pasta!” another comment read.
His response was: “Come back when you have a sense of humor, please! No grumpy people welcome here! What’s wrong with people seriously? !!! Even Sunni was laughing at my kitchen … please lighten hell! ”
