Days after Rhea Chakraborty’s interview on national television, many celebrities support her in the Sushant Singh Rajput case. After Vidya Balan, Shibani Dandekar issued a statement criticizing Rhea’s defamation by the media in the Sushant case. Rhea was in the news last week after she appeared in several interviews to expose her side in the Sushant case after Sushant’s father, KK Singh, accused her of “murdering” him. Sushant’s father filed various accusations against Rhea in her FIR.
After her interview, various stars like Vidya Balan, Taapsee Pannu, and others stood up for Rhea. Now, Shibani Dandekar has also issued a statement and questioned the ‘torture’ of Rhea and her family by the media after Sushant’s death. She questioned how she was vilified on national television. Furthermore, she mentioned that she saw Rhea’s mother’s health deteriorate after the accusations against Rhea and that Showik Chakraborty was “forced” to grow up.
Also, he mentioned how Rhea’s father served the nation for almost 20 years and now he, too, was being affected by everything. Also, she defended Rhea and mentioned that her only ‘crime’ was loving a boy and being with him in his ‘darkest days’. Shibani added that she has known Rhea since she was 16 years old and that in recent months she has seen how the ‘kindest people’ in her family have been subjected to ‘unimaginable trauma’.

Shibani’s statement comes after Rhea has been accused by Sushant’s family of various things in her FIR and she appeared in an interview and denied them all. Rhea had opened up in her interview about her relationship with Sushant, her mental health issues, and even claimed that Sushant’s family was aware of her mental health issues. After Laskhmi Manchu, Minissha Lamba, Vidya Balan, and Taapsee Pannu, Shibani Dandekar has also come out against the defamation of Rhea and backed her.
