Shekhar Suman and Johnny Lever react to Bharti Singh’s drug case: ‘Drug use by creative people is pushing boundaries’ – tv

Bail was granted to comedian Bharti Singh and her husband Harsh Limbachiyaa on Monday afternoon. The couple were arrested by the Narcotics Control Bureau (NCB) for possession of marijuana.

NCB officials had arrested Bharti and her husband under NDPS after raids on their residence and production house, seizing 86.5 grams of cannabis from both locations. The agency claimed that Bharti Singh said in her statement that she used to smoke marijuana purchased by her husband. Now, Shekhar Suman and veteran comedian Johnny Lever have reacted to the development.

Speaking to Times of India, Johnny Lever said: “Drugs are becoming a trend, as alcohol used to be in the past. Alcohol used to be readily available and a lot of parties used to happen and I even made the mistake of drinking but then I realized that alcohol is not good as it is affecting my talent and creativity and I gave it up. But drug use by this generation of creative people is crossing boundaries. And if you get caught indulging, imagine what your family will go through and those who are watching your story on the news channels and using even lethal drugs must be passing … and if this trend of drug indulgence continues .. hamari kharab ho jaayegi industry (our industry will break down). “

Shekhar Suman, who has been a vocal in the Sushant Singh Rajput case, told Spotboye how sometimes success and money are hard to handle. He was quoted as saying, “Your talent should be your drug. Be addicted to hard work and excellence. Sometimes in life fame and money are hard to handle, especially if you are an upstart. “

Bharti was arrested on Saturday by the NCB, while her husband was taken into custody on Sunday morning following the seizure of ganja (cannabis) from their home in the Andheri suburbs. On Sunday they were presented before the court of first instance that placed them in judicial custody until December 4.

The couple then submitted bail statements through their defender Ayaz Khan, which were released for their hearing on Monday. The NCB recovered 86.5 g of marijuana during the search at the couple’s residence and office. This is considered a “small amount” under the Narcotics and Psychotropic Substances Act (NDPS).
