The fourth floor of the Shastri Bhawan, a government building that houses several ministries, was sealed Tuesday after a law ministry official tested positive for the coronavirus.
The high-ranking official in the now-positive legal affairs department last attended the position on April 23. Subsequently, he left the license.
Doors number 1 and 2 that the officer was using have been closed, along with the corresponding elevators, to disinfect and will remain closed until Wednesday.
The disinfection process is underway. All other necessary measures are being taken according to the official protocol of the government.
Recently, the CRPF headquarters and a portion of the BSF headquarters were sealed after positive cases of coronavirus were reported.
These buildings are located in the CGO complex in the national capital.
Previously, Niti Aayog, Rajiv Gandhi Bhawan, which houses the ministry of civil aviation, was also sealed for sanitation after a positive case of Covid-19 was detected.
