Stock Market News Today | Sensex, Nifty, Stock Prices LIVE: The national stock market benchmark indices BSE Sensex and Nifty 50 traded firmly on Wednesday amid mixed global signals. BSE Sensex hovered around 49,700, while the Nifty 50 index was above the crucial 14,600. Tech Mahindra, HCL Technologies, TCS and Infosys were the top BSE Sensex winners. Bharti Airtel, Kotak Mahindra Bank, HUL among the nine stocks trailing BSE Sensex today. Power Grid Corporation of India was Sensex’s biggest loser. Except for the Nifty FMCG and Nifty Private Bank indices, all Nifty industry indices were trading green, led by the Nifty IT index, up more than 2%. In night trading on Wall Street, US stock indices rose. The Dow Jones Industrial Average was up 0.38%, the S&P 500 gained 0.81% and the Nasdaq Composite added 1.53%.
Indigo Paints, backed by Sequoia Capital, raised Rs 348 crore from anchor investors on Tuesday ahead of its initial share sale. A total of 23.35 lakhs of shares has been allocated to 25 anchor investors at 1,490 rupees each, which is the upper end of the price band, the company said in a statement. At the upper end of the price band, the issue is likely to reach Rs 1,170.16 crore, comprising a new share issue worth Rs 300 crore and Rs 870.16 crore through OFS.
