The broader markets were moving higher along with the benchmark indices.
Share market news today | Sensex, Nifty, stock prices LIVE: Sensex and Nifty returned to the green Tuesday morning. S&P BSE Sensex started trading green and soon rallied 45,800 while the Nifty 50 was above 13,400. Among the top Sensex winners were HCL Technologies, Tech Mahindra, ONGC and NTPC. Only a handful of stocks were trading at a loss Tuesday morning. These included, Bajaj Finance, Reliance Industries, Mahindra and Mahindra, among others. Volatility was down more than 3% and markets were seen generally outperforming benchmarks. Dow Jones closed with a profit on Monday, but Asian pairs failed to come back with Shanghai Composite, Hang Seng, TOPIX, KOSPI all trading at a loss.
The Antony Waste Handling Cell IPO was subscribed 1.98 times on the first day and retail investors subscribed their share of the issue 3.56 times. Qualified Institutional Buyers (QIB) have so far subscribed 63% of their quota, while Non-Institutional Investors (NII) have bid only 8% of the portion reserved for them. The Rs 300 crore issue will close on Wednesday. This is the second time that Antony Waste Handling Cell has sought to make its bag debut. In early March, their plans were thwarted by the sell-off aided by the pandemic. Antony Waste has managed to raise Rs 90 crore before issuing 10 anchor investors.
