S&P BSE Sensex was down more than 150 points at the open and losses were seen increasing minutes after the bell. Nifty 50 was below 13,700. Only 5 Sensex components were trading at a profit, while all the others were in the red. The winners were L&T, RIL, HDFC Bank, among others. Axis Bank and ICICI Bank each fell more than 2%. The broader markets were reflecting the decline. Asian pairs were trading at a loss on Monday morning with the Shanghai Composite falling 0.26% while the Hang Seng fell 0.67%.
The initial public offering (IPO) of Antony Waste Handling will open for subscription today, for the second time in 2020. At a price band of Rs 313-315 crore, the company seeks to raise Rs 300 crore which consists of a new issue of Rs 85 million rupees and an Offer to Sell (OFS) from existing shareholders of 215 million rupees. After the issue, the promoter and promoter group will continue to have 46.23% of the company, compared to 51.10%. Public participation in the company will increase to 53.77% from 48.90% previously.
