Share market news today | Sensex, Nifty, stock prices LIVE: The national equity market benchmarks BSE Sensex and Nifty 50 were trading higher on Friday. BSE Sensex gained 200 points or 0.43 percent to trade at 46,180, while Nifty 50 was trading at 13,540 levels. Earnings were led by purchases of ONGC, State Bank of India (SBI), NTPC, Tata Steel, Reliance Industries Ltd (RIL), and Hindustan Unilever Ltd (HUL). On the other hand, Infosys, Nestlé India and Maruti Suzuki were among Sensex’s laggards. All Nifty sector indices were trading green today. The Nifty PSU Bank Index was the top sector winner with Canara Bank, Union Bank and Punjab National Bank as the top winners. In night trading on Wall Street, US stock indices ended lower. The Dow Jones Industrial Average fell 0.23%, the S&P 500 lost 0.13%. While the Nasdaq Composite added 0.54 percent.
The offer to sell for Indian Railway Catering and Tourism Corp (IRCTC) received a good response from non-retail investors, as the issue was subscribed almost twice on the first day. Retail investors will have the opportunity to bid on IRCTC’s Offer for Sale (OFS) on Friday, the last day for issuance, said Department of Investment and Public Asset Management (DIPAM) secretary Tuhin Kanta Pandey.
