Actor Shaheer Sheikh married his girlfriend Ruchikaa Kapoor on Friday.
Shaheer revealed that she opted for a judicial marriage given the pandemic. The couple will have a celebration next year with their family and friends. Ruchikaa is the Senior Vice President of Balaji Productions.
Shaheer and Ruchikaa used Instagram to share photos of their special day.
Our readers will remember that indianexpress.com was the first to report on their relationship in 2018. The couple had met through mutual friends and after a brief friendship, they began dating. Sheikh had even accompanied Kapoor to London during the filming of Judgementall Hai Kya.
The court marriage was attended by only a few close friends, including Supriya Pilgaonkar, who played Sheikh’s mother in Kuch Rang Pyaar Ke Aise Bhi. After making their relationship official, the newlyweds flew to Shaheer’s hometown of Jammu for a small ceremony at her home.
It’s only been a few days since Shaheer Sheikh spoke about his beloved. He shared a funny click of Ruchikaa on Instagram, followed by a photo of them in their goofy avatar. He captioned it, “Here you go… after all the transformed images, I thought I’d save you some time. #ikigai #madMe #girlwiththecurls “.
On Tuesday, he shared a photo of Ruchikaa Kapoor laughing out loud as he held her hand. The diamond ring on one of their fingers sparked rumors that they were engaged. He captioned the photo, “#TuHasdiRave excited for the rest of my life …”
Shaheer Sheikh was last seen in Yeh Rishtey Hain Pyaar Ke, which concluded in October.
