Shah Rukh Khan, Riteish Deshmukh and many others wished veteran actor Dilip Kumar on Friday on his 98th birthday. Shah Rukh shared a picture from an old photoshoot they had done together.
“For the one and only, who astonished and inspired the world by simply being himself … Wishing the legendary #DilipKumar a very happy birthday. I appreciate and remember each time we met in great detail and you have always loved me as if I were yours. I love you so much. Have a good Dilip Sahib, ”he captioned his post. Shah Rukh fans loved seeing a photo of them together. “Two superstars in one frame … I love you both,” wrote one.
Actor Kamal Haasan also wished the legendary actor. “To my dearest Yusuf Khan Saheb / Shri. DIlip Kumar Ji @TheDilipKumar My salute to one of the greatest living Indian artists in cinema. Happy birthday sir and I express my gratitude for setting a benchmark half a century ago, for today’s artists to follow, ”he wrote with a photo of the two.
Madhuri wrote: “Happy birthday @TheDilipKumar saab. I wish you good health and a long life ahead. I feel lucky to remember the moments we spent together while filming for #Izzatdar and #KanoonApnaApna. I send you my best wishes. Beware.”
Riteish added images from a previous meeting with Dilip and his wife, Saira Banu. “The KING & I ….. Happy Birthday Dear @TheDilipKumar Sahab !!! A photo also showed his late father, former Maharashtra CM Vilasrao Deshmukh with Dilip.

The couple are not celebrating Dilip’s birthday this year, as he recently lost his two younger brothers. Saira told Mid Day: “We have had a catastrophe this year. Dilip sahab lost her two brothers. He doesn’t keep up well, neither do I. It is a difficult time for us, so it is not a big celebration. We will simply thank the Lord for the gift of life and health. “
