New Delhi:
The serious armed conflict with India is not the best for China globally, Air Chief Marshal RKS Bhadauria told the ANI news agency on Tuesday, as he spoke of months of tension between the two countries following the violence on the border of Ladakh in June.
He also noted “the evolving uncertainties and instability of global geopolitics” and the “inadequate contribution of major powers to global security”, and said this had provided China “an opportunity to demonstrate its power.”
The Chief Air Marshal said it was important to understand the reasons behind China’s actions, which he said could range from “training for war scenarios” to “synergies with new structures and technologies” or even “a military-dominated misadventure” .
“Any serious conflict is not good for China on (the) global front. If Chinese aspirations are global, then (a border showdown) does not fit into their grand plan. So what might be the possible goals of their action?” ? asked the Air Chief Marshal.
“Were they military signaling or domination efforts with proper escalation control? Was it (for) the deployment and training of Western Theater forces in war theaters, where the Galwan incident was excessive? Was it to recognize and fill the gaps to get their forces to synergize with new structures and technology? Or was it a planned escalation to start border talks? “he continued.

It could also be, he added, that the Chinese are reluctant to back down for fear of “losing face.”
“In any case, what really happened is all of the above … regardless of their initial objective. They have been deployed a lot (along the Royal Line of Control) … they have a large radar presence, ground to air and surface-to-surface missiles, “said Air Chief Marshal Bhadauria.
“But we have taken all the necessary measures,” he emphasized.
India and China each have around 50,000 soldiers in a high state of combat readiness at various locations in the mountainous region, and this month Delhi enabled the armed forces to improve the storage of weapons, ammunition and equipment for a 15-year war. days.
In September, India also rushed to send tanks, heavy weapons, fuel, food, and essential winter supplies to support its forces during the treacherous winter months.
The Indian Air Force is also on high alert at forward air bases throughout LAC.
The Air Marshal’s comments come days after the two governments agreed to work towards an “early and complete” withdrawal of troops throughout LAC in eastern Ladakh.
Several rounds of talks have yielded no concrete results to resolve the clash and the rapidly rising tension following skirmishes in May and violence in Galwan in June.
The last round of talks was on November 6.
