The farmer agitation in Delhi entered the twelfth day today, with large numbers of farmers gathering in and around the national capital to protest against the three agricultural laws. As farmers continued their demonstrations against agricultural laws, the Delhi Traffic Police closed four borders, including Singhu, Auchandi, Piao Maniyari and Mangesh. In a series of tweets, the Traffic Police issued a notice today, informing travelers about the diverted routes.
Roads closed or diverted due to continued protest by farmers in the national capital:
1) The borders of Singhu, Auchandi, Piao Maniyari and Mangesh are closed.
2) NH 44 is closed on both sides. Take alternative routes through the borders of Lampur, Safiabad, Saboli.
3) Traffic has been diverted from Mukarba and GTK highway. Avoid Outer Ring Rd, GTK road, NH44.
4) The chilla border on the Noida link road is closed to traffic from Noida to Delhi near Gautam Budh Dwar. People are advised to avoid the Noida link road to reach Delhi and use DND.
5) The Gazipur border on NH 24 is closed to traffic from Gaziabad to Delhi. People are advised to avoid NH 24 to come to Delhi and to use Apsara / Bhopra / DND to come to Delhi.
6) The borders of Tikri, Jharoda are closed for any traffic movement.
7) Badusarai Border is open only for light motor vehicles such as cars and two-wheelers.
8) The Jhatikara border is open only for two-wheeler traffic.
9) The open borders available for Haryana are following the Dhansa, Daurala, Kapashera, Rajokri NH 8, Bijwasan / Bajghera, Palam Vihar and Dundahera Borders borders
Farmers protest against the Agricultural Products Trade and Trade (Promotion and Facilitation) Act of 2020, the Farmers (Empowerment and Protection) Agreement on Price Guarantee and the Agricultural Services Act of 2020 and the Essential Products Act (Amendment ) of 2020.
