Aviation regulator DGCA requested a report from IndiGo airlines on the alleged violation of security and social distancing protocols by the media on its Chandigarh-Mumbai flight that had actor Kangana Ranaut as a passenger, senior officials said. level on Friday.
“We have seen some videos where the media is too close to each other on flight 6E264 on Wednesday. It appears to be a violation of safety and social distancing protocols. We have asked IndiGo to present a report on this incident, ”said a DGCA official.
Another official from the Directorate General of Civil Aviation (DGCA) said Ranaut was sitting in one of the first rows of the Chandigarh-Mumbai flight on Wednesday. Many mediators were also on the same flight.
On PTI’s request for a statement on this matter, IndiGo said: “We have provided our statement to the DGCA regarding the matter related to flight 6E 264 from Chandigarh to Mumbai on September 9, 2020.”

“We would like to reiterate that our cabin crew, as well as the captain, followed all necessary protocols, including postings to restrict photography, follow social distancing and maintain general safety,” the airline stated.
IndiGo said it also followed the required protocol to document this matter in its post-flight report.

“We are committed to providing a safe and seamless experience for our passengers,” he added.
According to the social distancing regulations of the Ministry of Civil Aviation issued on May 25, “upon arrival at the destination, passengers must be able to exit (the plane) in sequence to avoid crowding.”
