The second B-777 VVIP aircraft, Air India One, landed at Delhi airport on Saturday. The Air India One aircraft is exclusively for the President, Vice President and Prime Minister. The first of two VVIP Air India One jets arrived in India earlier this month.
In early August contingents of senior Air India officials, security officers and senior government officials visited the United States to accept delivery of the SESF or VVIP Air India One aircraft.
Air India One is equipped with an advanced and secure communication system that allows to make use of the audio and video communication functions in the air without concerns of hacking or being recorded, sources familiar with the details told ANI previously.
The VVIP B-777 aircraft is a replacement for the Boeing B-747 wide-body jumbo jet whose call sign is Air India One. The interior design of the aircraft is very attractive, which was recently modified by Boeing, in addition to other customizations.
The new Boeing 777 VVIP guest aircraft is also equipped with advanced defense systems and will be fully operated by IAF pilots in due course.
The Air India Boeing 777’s color had been completely changed, including changes to the aircraft design based on recommendations and further approval from the Prime Minister’s Office (PMO).
