Bollywood actors Sara Ali Khan and Shraddha Kapoor were questioned Saturday at NCB SIT’s Mumbai office about their role in the drug nexus that appears to have consumed the film industry. They were summoned at approximately the same time, at 10:30 a.m. on Saturday, by the OCN and left around 6:10 p.m. Both were named after Rhea Chakraborty, the main defendant in the mysterious death of Bollywood actor Sushant Singh. Rajput in June this year, during his interrogation by the NCB.
While Sara Ali Khan was subpoenaed based on Rhea’s testimony that she used drugs alongside actor Rakul Preet Singh, Shraddha Kapoor was expected to clarify her conversations with Jaya Saha, Rhea’s former manager. Excerpts from Shradhha’s WhatsApp chats with Saha came to light where she acknowledged the delivery of CBD oil smuggled from Saha. In one of the conversations that Republic TV had access to, Jaya Saha writes to Shraddha Kapoor: “Hello, I am shipping CBD oil with Jinal today :)” Shraddha Kapoor responds “Hey! Thank you.”

Shraddha Kapoor has admitted to taking part in the conversations and has reportedly been silent when asked about obtaining or consuming the CBD oil he ordered through Jaya Saha. The actor has denied the allegations of illegal drug use and has alleged that Sushant Singh Rajput would use drugs. She revealed that she had attended the Chhichhore at Sushant’s farm in Pawana and identified six other people who were present at the party.

Also, Sushant’s co-star from KedarnathSara Ali Khan also refused to use drugs and refuted Rhea Chakraborty’s claims in questioning. Aside from Sara and Shraddha, actor Deepika Padukone and his manager Karishma Prakash were also summoned by the NCB to their guest house around the same time. After being grilled for nearly 6 hours, Deepika left the office around 4pm on Saturday.

Deepika can be called again
Major NCB sources have told the Republic Media Network that the actor’s statement was “evasive and guarded. The NCB has stated that no clean notes have been delivered to Deepika Padukone, and she will likely be called back for questioning. As of now, some verification is taking place, however a confrontation in the future cannot be ruled out, sources revealed.
During her questioning, Deepika Padukone agreed to the drug talks between her, Karishma Prakash, Jaya Saha and other KWAN executives, but the NCB was not entirely satisfied with her responses, sources said.

Meanwhile, according to sources, Jaya Saha feigned ignorance when faced with the chats with Rhea, who is already in NCB custody until October 6. She claimed that ‘doobies’ and sprouts’ were not terms for cured marijuana, but terms used for cigarettes by’ high society ‘. Karishma Prakash, on the other hand, confronted her talks with the alleged street drug dealer Anuj Keswani, where she claimed that the ‘hash’ was not a drug.
