While some veteran players have struggled to peak form, some youngsters are taking the tournament by storm. Indian women’s team cricketer Smriti Mandhana chose one such player from the Rajasthan Royals (RR) who has made her a defender of the franchise this season.
The Royals remain one of the best franchises this season and are currently in third place in the IPL rankings after two wins from three games. With Steve Smith as captain, RR has challenged on all fronts of the game, be it bowling or hitting. While Jofra Archer has been the standout bowler, it is Sanju Samson who has done the most damage with the bat.

The way he’s hitting is crazy, to the next level. I’m thinking of learning from everyone who hits and pitches well, ”he told India Today.
