Television actor Chandni Bhagwanani is stranded in Australia due to the blockade due to the coronavirus pandemic, and is spending his savings to survive. Airlines around the world have canceled flights and countries have sealed their borders to control the spread of the deadly virus.

In an interview with SpotboyE, Chandni said she was in Australia for a month to fulfill professional commitments and was stuck due to the closure. “I tried to book my tickets when I was given little buffer time, but all flights were full and I also realized that traveling is not very safe. So, I thought that staying here would be better. And now I feel that the blockade will last until June, ”he said.

Chandni was originally staying in a hotel, but when the closure was extended, she and two other Indian women rented an apartment in Melbourne together. She said that living in Australia was expensive and that she had to look for her savings.

“It is quite difficult. Everything here is expensive: stay, food, travel. But whatever savings I have, I am putting it here right now. Since my accommodation is for sharing, it is quite comfortable for me, instead of living just in a hotel, studio apartment or flat. That must have been more difficult. Fortunately, I have these two girls around me and I have people I can talk to at this crucial stage, “he said.

Chandni made her small screen debut in 2001 with the Kohi Apna Sa program. She has been part of shows like Kyunki Saas Bhi Kabhi Bahu Thi, Amita Ka Amit, Tum Hi Ho Bandhu Sakha Tumhi, and Santoshi Maa. She was recently seen as Dr. Asha Kanwar in Sanjivani, a reboot of the hospital drama of the same name in 2002.
