New Delhi: Shiv Sena’s Sanjay Raut in his column ‘Rokhthok‘in party mouthpiece Saamana claimed that there is a conspiracy to smear Mumbai.

Invoking ‘Marathi Pride’, Raut criticized the BJP for being behind Bollywood superstar Kangana Ranaut, who had called Mumbai ‘Pakistani-occupied Kashmir’, Taliban and later Babar.

An unknown force is systematically plotting against Mumbai, Raut said, adding that efforts are being made to systematically erase the Marathi man and his identity.

‘Thackeray a mark of Maharashtra self esteem’

By supporting Sushant Singh Rajput and Kangana, they want to win the Bihar elections. It is a struggle to get the votes of the upper caste Rajputs of Bihar, ”said Deputy Shiv Sena.

Calling ‘Thackeray’ a mark of Maharashtra’s self-esteem, Raut called ‘Pawar’ another important brand saying that the conspiracy to destroy this Mumbai brand and then take control of the city has been exposed again.

This statement by Raut comes after Shiv Sena without naming Kangana broadcast ‘Mubarak Ho’ to the Bollywood actress adding that the commercial capital of the country is quite used to this type of controversy.

“Like the ‘chirharan’ (undressing) of Draupadi by the Kauravas while the Pandavas kept their heads down, even now we are witnessing a similar scenario,” Sena said in a party spokesman.

The article further asked that although Mumbai is well known to symbolize ‘national integrity’, why does ‘Controversy-Mafia’ always sound this trumpet only for Mumbai and not in any other state capital?

Furthermore, he said that the foundations of the Indian film industry were laid by Dadasaheb Phalke, a Maharashtrian, and artists have achieved success in the industry because of talent and not religion.

Shiv Sena faces Criticism of the demolition of Kangana Ranaut’s bungalow and the attack on the retired naval veteran who had shared a cartoon satirizing Chief Minister Uddhav Thackeray on a WhatsApp group.

Yesterday, Raut shared a note on his Twitter justifying the attack on the former Indian Navy officer calling it a “spontaneous” and “angry” reaction.
