Mangaluru police have been conducting a parallel investigation into drug trafficking and drug use cases involving famous television personalities.
Sandalwood drug scandal: Anushree anchor questioned by Mangaluru police
Central Crime Branch police questioned the prominent Kannada Anushree TV host and actor on Saturday for more than four hours. CCB officials questioned him about his alleged involvement in the recent drug-related controversy involving Sandalwood actors. Actor and choreographer Kishore Aman Shetty was also named a defendant in the case. Since Anushree has worked with Kishore on a reality show, she was questioned.
In her previous interview, Anushree said that she did not participate in any parties hosted by celebrities. She added that she was held in Mangaluru due to the imposition of confinement and was at home with her family throughout her stay in Mangaluru. It should be noted that Anushree is the first television personality summoned by the Mangaluru police. Speaking to the press after the interrogation process, Anushree said that he had known both Tarun and Kishore for 12 years as they used to teach him to dance for a show. “I had been choreographed. After this, we somehow lost connection and all of a sudden, now I have been summoned. Whatever the police asked me, I have answered it to the best of my knowledge. If the police call me back I’ll come here and cooperate. ” ” she said.
