KOCHI: One of the pregnant women who was among the 698 Indian citizens who were repatriated from Maldives expressed her gratitude to the Navy for the timely rescue operation.
The INS Jalashwa of the Navy transporting the nationals arrived at the port of Kochi on Sunday as part of the Operation Samudra Setu.

“The Indian Navy helps us get to India safely. The Navy is providing food and medical facilities. I would like to say that whoever is beaten in the Maldives, there is nothing to worry about. If they are in a condition difficult, you can come by boat, “said one of the pregnant women grateful to the Navy for the repatriation to India.
According to the Indian Navy, there are 19 pregnant women among the 698 Indian citizens.
On Saturday, Navy officials said the INS Jalashwa mission highlighted India’s commitment to safeguard its diaspora anywhere in the world.
