Unlike the iPhone 12, Samsung Galaxy phones come with a charger in the box.
Samsung cast a serious shadow on Apple for not including a charger with its latest iPhone 12 smartphones. The lineup of Apple’s latest phones was announced at a virtual event two days ago. The iPhone 12 series phones will ship without a charger or EarPods, a fact that led to the brand being heavily tracked on social media.
Samsung, Apple’s biggest rival, took the opportunity to poke fun at the company with a hilarious post. The South Korean multinational conglomerate made a decision on excluding a power adapter in the box with a post that has left thousands divided.
“Your #Galaxy gives you what you are looking for. From the most basic as a charger, to the best camera, battery, performance, memory and even 120Hz screen in a phone,” they wrote yesterday on Facebook, sharing an image of a black charger that it is included with your line of Galaxy phones.
The post has gone hugely viral online, collecting a whopping 70,000 reactions and more than 10,000 hilarious comments.
“Oh Samsung. You’re mean, but I like you,” wrote one Facebook user, adding several laughing face emojis to the comment.
Some criticized Samsung in the comment section for copying Apple and removing a headphone jack from their phones. “Samsung first scoffed at the unavailability of the headphone jack and proceeded to remove it anyway, making it the same scenario again,” wrote one commenter.
“I’m just going to save this image for when you decide to do the same two years later or so …” said another.
This isn’t the first time Samsung has done a subtle dig at Apple. In 2017, the smartphone maker taunted its rival with an ad titled ‘Growing Up’.
