Samsung has updated its original Galaxy Buds with some new functionality. Features are already available on the new Galaxy Buds + and have now been moved to the previous model.
One of the most important additions to the feature list is the Microsoft Swift Pair feature. It greatly improves the pairing experience and if you are running Windows 10 version 1803 or higher, you can take advantage of all the features available for Android. You can use them for work-related calls and for listening to music.
The so-called surround sound function is also coming to the Buds of the previous generation. It’s the exact opposite of noise cancellation: Galaxy Buds capture the sound around you and let it pass so you can be aware of your surroundings without turning down the volume. It can be quite useful for those who bike in the city, for example.
And last but not least, the software provides deeper integration with Spotify. With the touch and hold gesture, you can launch Spotify on your smartphone and continue listening from where you left off. Touch and hold again, and Spotify will deal with the recommended playlists.
