Saiyami Kher shared an old note he had written to Anurag Kashyap amidst #MeToo accusations against the filmmaker by actress Payal Ghosh. Saiyami began the note by writing about his experience of meeting the filmmaker for the first time. He also described his home as “a typical chaotic Indian home”.
Saiyami’s first tweet says that the filmmaker had called her at her Versova home and told her that she “doesn’t have to worry because he lives with his parents.”

Saiyami also added that Anurag Kashhyap has a ‘childlike innocence and open heart’ which is rare in today’s times. Saiyami Kher played the title role in Anurag Kashyap’s Choked: Paisa Bolta Hai. The movie premiered on an OTT platform on June 5 of this year. Choked told the story of a middle-class woman whose life begins to change when she finds money coming out of her kitchen pipe. The film also starred Roshan Matthew, Rajshri Deshpande, and Amruta Subhash.
