Sachin Vaze case: NIA now fishes car no. Of Aurangabad. Mithi plate | India News

AURANGABAD / MUMBAI: Vehicles and license plates appear to be inextricably intertwined with the case of explosives found near the residence of industrialist Mukesh Ambani and the subsequent murder of businessman Mansukh Hiran.
On Monday, a day after the NIA recovered license plates among other electronic devices from the Mithi River, Aurangabad resident Vijay Nade claimed that the two recovered license plates with the same license plate numbers belonged to his car which was stolen from Aurangabad in November 2020. Two vehicles, a Scorpio in which explosives were planted and an Innova, which was following behind, had false license plates.
According to information provided by Waze, NIA, with the help of divers, recovered a laptop, printer, two hard drives, a pair of license plates, two CPUs and two DVRs from the Mithi River on Sunday.
Several fake license plates were also recovered from the Scorpio, Innova and other SUVs used by Waze and its accomplices.

Nade, an employee of the social justice department in Jalna, owned a Maruti Eeco vehicle with registration number MH-20-DP-1539. He said that on November 16 last year, he registered a robbery complaint with the City Chowk Police Station in the city of Aurangabad. Nade, a resident of Chhatrapati Nagar, New Aurangabad, said he was stunned after the NIA found the license plates of his stolen car.
Chowk City Police Inspector Sambhaji Pawar told TOI: “The case to date has not been detected. We will contact the authorities to find out if the stolen car from Aurangabad was used there or if only the Nade added: “I found out after I started receiving calls from journalists asking about the whereabouts of the car registered in my name. This morning I contacted the police and demanded an investigation.”
The DVRs are believed to have been installed at the Mumbai police headquarters and at the Thane housing society where Waze resided, sources said. The DVR at the police headquarters contained footage of vehicle movements at the police headquarters, while the second allegedly shows that one of the two vehicles involved in the crime was parked at the Waze housing partnership.
NIA officials said the recovered items were identified by the rightful owners / custodians, from whom the defendant, Waze, had illegally collected them without proper documentation.
In addition, Waze used the recovered laptop and printer in its office. The defendants made a visible effort to destroy the items, as they bear hammer marks, authorities said.
The NIA has been seeking evidence based on a statement from Riyazuddin Kazi, a police officer who informed Waze. All items recovered have added to the body of evidence gathered by the NIA so far in its investigation into how an explosives-laden Scorpio was planted near the bungalow of industrialist Mukesh Ambani and the murder of Mansukh Hiran.
