Spanish tennis legend Rafael Nadal wrote the story on Sunday when he defeated rival Novak Djokovic in straight sets to claim another French Open title. With his biggest achievement at the 2020 French Open, the 34-year-old won his 13th French Open and 20th Grand Slam title overall. He is now on an equal footing with Roger Federer, who also has 20 titles to his name.

Sachin Tendulkar praises Rafael Nadal’s achievement at the 2020 French Open
Former Indian cricket captain and batsman Sachin Tendulkar appears to have been following the 2020 French Open updates. Following Rafael Nadal’s achievement at Roland Garros, the ‘Master Blaster’ himself took to his social media accounts to congratulate the Spaniard. In his tweet, Sachin Tendulkar described Paris as Nadal’s “home away from home”, considering his trail of successes on the clay courts of Roland Garros.
Interestingly, the official Roland Garros social media accounts also took note of Sachin Tendulkar’s congratulatory tweet when they posted a traditional response for the cricket icon. On the microblogging site, the former Indian captain was referred to as “king.”

With the victory, Rafael Nadal managed to match Roger Federer’s Grand Slam score for the first time in his life. The two tennis aces have been in a long-standing rivalry with each other and are currently the two most successful singles players in men’s history. Additionally, Nadal added another feather to his cap by becoming the first man to win four Grand Slams without dropping a set.
