Saamna calls Singh a BJP pawn, warns of “fire” if government threatens | India News

MUMBAI: Saamna has alleged that the BJP was using former Mumbai Police Commissioner Param Bir Singh to overthrow the Shiv Sena-led Maha Vikas Aghadi (MVA) regime in the state. The party spokesman then warned that any attempt to bring down the MVA Government would unleash “fire”.
In an editorial on Monday, Saamna said that the BJP was ready to smear the MVA by leveling the false accusations, and that Singh was the last “pawn” of the Opposition. The ultimate goal of the Opposition is to clear the ground for the president’s government by creating the impression that the machinery of law and order had failed in the state. New pawns are being created (to achieve the goal). It is clear that Singh is being used in a similar way, Saamna said.

The MVA faces unprecedented political upheaval in the wake of Singh’s recent letter to the prime minister. Uddhav Thackeray accusing Interior Minister Anil Deshmukh to ask Sachin vaze, the controversial assistant police inspector who is allegedly involved in Ambani’s security fear case and the death of Thane Mansukh Hiran’s businessman, from raising 100 million rupees every month in the city’s bars and restaurants.
A major NCP politician, Deshmukh has since challenged Singh’s position while he was chairman of the NCP Sharad Pawar He said Monday that Deshmukh did not need to resign as Singh’s allegations were unfounded.
Stating that there could be a link between Singh’s letter bomb and the BJP’s game plan to destabilize the MVA government, Saamna said: “The BJP was clamoring for Singh’s resignation in the wake of the Sachin Vaze dispute. Today, Singh has become BJP’s favorite. Until yesterday, the BJP believed that Singh was not trustworthy. Today, they preside over it on their shoulders and dance towards glory ”.
Saamna, who had praised Singh last week for taking the reins of the Mumbai police force during the Covid-19 “hard times”, criticized the former PC for sending Thackeray a letter launching sensational accusations against Deshmukh.
“It is not for a senior police officer to bring charges against the Minister of the Interior and publish them in the media … It is not within the rules for a police officer to put the government in the dock … Singh should have. he exercised restraint, ”Saamna said, and at the same time patted Singh on the back for taking on various responsibilities to the best of his ability as CP.
Describing Singh as a practical officer, Saamna said that he handled the case of Sushant Singh Rajput and the Kangana Ranaut paddle quite well. Saamna’s comments about Singh reflect growing confusion in the Seine about how to handle the ire of the super cop following his summary transfer, observers said.
