Candidates must sign a declaration indicating that they are fit to take the test.
The first round of exams will be held from December 15 to December 18. The next phase will be from December 28 to March 2021 tentatively, and the third round will be until the end of June 2021, according to an official statement.
“While it is not possible for candidates to provide a negative certificate for the disease, they will need to provide a statement that they are fit to test and are not positive for COVID. The pro forma will be provided to the candidates for the declaration, ”Anand S Khati, Managing Director, Human Resources, Railroad Board, said at a press conference.

“Upon arriving at the center, a candidate will be tested with a heat gun. If the temperature exceeds the established limit, the candidate’s exam will be rescheduled. It is a question of security. Candidates have largely stayed in their states or in facilities that require minimal travel, especially for female applicants and Divyangs, ”Khati said.
Links to download the electronic call letter will be posted four days prior to the exam date on the official websites of all RRBs. Communication on the next phases of the recruitment will be released in due course, the statement read.
Khati said that the Railways will run special exam trains to meet the travel requirements of candidates, whenever necessary and feasible.
The top secretaries of concerned state governments have also been asked to extend local administration support to CRRs to safely conduct computer testing and ensure social distancing, he said.
In Computer Based Testing (CBT), candidates are given a link to familiarize themselves with a mock test prior to the actual exam.
“Providing a mock test before the actual exam gives them an opportunity to become familiar with the computer-based tests. This gives the candidates confidence, ”Khati added.
There are no interviews in the RRB exams and the selection of candidates is based solely on merit, he said.
Khati said the entire process, from conducting the exams to delivering the appointment letters, will take about a year to complete.
