RRB NTPC, Group D and Other Exam Dates – New Schedule Announced, Check Details – Education


The RRB NTPC recruiting exam will run from December 28 to the end of March 2021, while the RRB Level-1 exam (for track maintainers, point man and various Level 1 positions) will take place. between the first week of April and June of next year. The Chairman of the Indian Rail Board Vinod Kumar Yadav announced the dates of the RRB NTPC and Group D recruitment exams at a press conference on Tuesday, December 1.

Yadav had previously announced that the RRB ministerial and isolated category review will take place on December 15-18, 2020.

The Board of Railways plans to reduce the distance and travel time of candidates by assigning them examination centers within their state of residence. There are also plans to run special trains for candidates.

A total of 2.44 million applications have been received for the 1.4 lakh vacancies announced in RRB CEN 01/2019.

“This year, due to the coronavirus situation, we made sure that the test center for candidates remains within their states and that the travel distance is less. We are working on it and we are trying to make sure that candidates have to travel a very short distance. We are also planning to run special candidate trains and will see that all COVID protocols are followed. Once this (NTPC exam) has been completed at the end of March, in the first week of April we will begin the exams for level 1 positions. 1.15 million candidates have applied for these exams, ”he said.

A total of 1.03 lakh of applications were received for 1,663 vacancies in the isolated and ministerial categories and 1.15 crore of applications were received against 1.03 lakh of vacancies for -1 level positions. A total applications of Rs 1.26 million have been received for 35,000 vacant posts for the recruitment of RRB NTPC.
