“The bowlers did a good job, and I don’t think wicket has been as good as it has been here, a little sloppy tonight, and we gave away 10-15 extra runs,” he added.
One of the positives for the Royals is England’s off-roader Ben stokes He will join the team on October 10. Stokes, who has come from New Zealand, will have to go through the six-day process before he can join his team.
“Stokes hasn’t had much practice, he’s out of quarantine tomorrow, so we’ll see if he plays the day after tomorrow,” Smith said.
