Royal Enfield Exports
Royal Enfield has clearly defined its export growth intent as a mid-size segment (250-750 cc) Leader. Last month’s exports accounted for 7.37 percent of total sales. Of domestic sales, the 350cc segment accounts for 90 percent of the company’s sales here.
Royal Enfield October 2020 Monthly Sales
October 2020 sales were also positively posted. After the highs, the November 2020 monthly sales have hit some red lines. 350cc MoM sales are reported at 5.04 percent, down from 60,467 units. The drop above 350cc was much more moderate, less than the percentage, with a volume loss of just 62 units, compared to 6,426 units. Total domestic sales fell 6 percent, down from 62,858 units. Exports gained 16.49 percent, compared to 4,033 units with a volume gain of 665 units. The total monthly decrease in sales is reported at 4.65 percent, down from the 66,891 units sold in October 2020.
For RE, the 350cc segment is its backbone. And while there are newer motorcycles available in the segment from other manufacturers now, it’s a long way to go until any of them can represent serious competition to the range that Royal Enfield offers.
