Barcelona coach Ronald Koeman expressed his thoughts on his team’s 1-0 loss to Atlético de Madrid on Saturday.
The Dutch coach saw his team defeated for the third time in eight La Liga games and slipped nine points behind Diego Simeone in the standings.
It was a tough night for Barça, who also lost Gerard Piqué and Sergi Roberto through injury, and Koeman says his team must improve in all aspects.
“Like any coach, I am responsible. We know that we have to improve results and grow in confidence. We are working hard, we have to improve things in defense and attack, ”he said.
“I try to get the best equipment we have available. The players have done everything possible to get a result and we have to continue like this. I’m not worried about the league, although we know we have to win games ”.
“A team like Barcelona cannot concede a goal like we have. We played well in the first half. We dominate without creating many chances against a team that defends well. If you make mistakes, like we have, it’s even harder to win the game. ”

Barça now return to Champions League action and play Dynamo Kiev on Tuesday before hosting Osasuna at the weekend. The Catalan giants can reserve their place in the round of 16 with a victory in Ukraine.
