On November 9, the eve of the IPL final, the Cricket Control Board in India (BCCI) said in a press release that Rohit would appear in the test series but was resting for the limited leg of the Australia tour to “regain physical form.”
Rohit will now undergo his rehabilitation at the National Cricket Academy (NCA) in Bengaluru, and once the 33-year-old passes the fitness test, he will head to Australia ahead of the test series, which begins in Adelaide. December 17.
