Indian cricket fans breathed a sigh of relief when Rohit Sharma returned to lead the Mumbai Indians in their final 2020 IPL league game against Sunrisers Hyderabad, ending all speculation about his fitness.
However, Rohit Sharma did not make an impressive return to the MI squad when he departed after scoring just 4 runs, as he threw one from Sandeep Sharma to David Warner for just 4. Notably, Rohit was left out of the ODI, T20I or Test de India. teams for the upcoming Australian tour due to a hamstring injury and also missed the last four games with the Mumbai Indians.
With Rohit Sharma saying that he is fit and well after his omission from teams in India, fans took to social media to express their surprise at the same.
Not only that, but they have also taken aim at the Cricket Control Board in India (BCCI), saying that all is not well and that the selectors are biased in the omission of Rohit Sharma. Some even called Kohli selfish while saying that the gap is the reason behind Rohit’s omission.

Rohit came out for the draw, which he lost to David Warner, who chose to pitch against MI in Sharjah. Rohit will replace all-rounder Jayant Yadav in IM playing XI.
“Throughout the tournament, there has been a lot of talk about the draw, and we have to get it out of the fray and play good cricket. It looks like I’m fit and well. We are resting some key players: Bumrah and Boult will do it. and Dhawal Kulkarni will replace them I am coming in the place of Jayant Yadav.
Just minutes before Rohit’s return, BCCI president Ganguly spoke about Hitman’s chances of joining the Indian team in Australia for the tryout and cue series, saying he had his fingers crossed for his return.
