Chennai Super Kings hitter Ambati Rayudu said Sunday that Mumbai Indians captain Rohit Sharma has learned about the captaincy of MS Dhoni. Rohit is currently the most successful captain in the Indian Premier League in terms of titles won with four trophies to his name. Speaking to sports writer and presenter Rupha Ramani at CSK’s live Instagram shoot, Rayudu said Rohit learned the captaincy from Dhoni.
When asked the difference in the captaincy between Rohit and Dhoni, Rayudu said: “Dhoni has been the captain for all of us, including MS Dhoni and Virat Kohli, and what is becoming Rohit is thanks to MS Dhoni. You learned a lot from him, there won’t be much difference, but I think he’s going in the right direction. “

He also added that the Mumbai cricket player has a long way to go to achieve the level of success that Dhoni achieved as a career captain. “He has a long way to go and achieve Dhoni’s success, but I am sure he will get there,” Rayudu said.
Meanwhile, Rayudu also spoke about his CSK teammate Suresh Raina, saying he is confident the left-handed hitter will return to India.
“He has a lot of cricket left … I bet he will go back to India,” said the 34-year-old.
