Rohit Sharma goes to Australia

New Delhi [India], Dec 15 (ANI): After days of speculation and suspense, India starter Rohit Sharma finally left for Australia early Tuesday morning as he appears to be ready in time to play the third test match in the four-game series against Australia. which gets underway with the day-night test at the Adelaide Oval on Thursday.
Speaking to ANI, sources familiar with the developments said the India deputy with limited limitations left for Australia via Dubai and is ready to continue working on his fitness during his quarantine period. “He left early today and is heading to Australia via Dubai,” the source said.
After having injured his hamstring during the Indian Premier League in the United Arab Emirates, he initially stayed out of the Australian tour before the selectors reassessed his injured status and added him to the squad for the test series.
While the initial idea was that Rohit would travel to Australia with the rest of the team and continue to work on his hamstring with the Indian physical therapists, he headed home to be with his sick father. The starter headed to the National Cricket Academy (NCA) in Bengaluru after Diwali to undergo rehab with NCA physical therapists.

NCA physical therapists gave him a good grade on Friday and the BCCI released an official statement on Saturday saying that while he is “ clinically fit ” to head to Australia, he will continue to work on his endurance during his quarantine period there. .
“Team India batsman Rohit Sharma has completed his rehabilitation process at the National Cricket Academy (NCA) in Bengaluru and is now clinically fit. He has been rehabilitating and training at the NCA since 19 November following a high-grade left hamstring injury sustained during Premier League (IPL).
“The NCA medical team was satisfied with Sharma’s physical condition after evaluating him on different metrics that tested his abilities related to hitting, fielding and running between the fields. Sharma’s physical condition has been satisfactory, however , you will be prompted to continue working on your stamina.
“He has been given a detailed schedule to follow during the two weeks that he will be in quarantine. He will be re-evaluated by Team India’s medical team after his quarantine to establish his physical condition and a call about his involvement at the border. -The Trophy Gavaskar will be carried accordingly, “the BCCI statement said.
With the third test scheduled to begin on January 7, Rohit should be ready to be a part of the game at the Sydney Cricket Ground. (AND ME)
