Rishi Kapoor’s Henna co-star and Pakistani actor Zeba Bakhtiar has said that she contacted him through calls and messages and was assured by her brother Randhir Kapoor two days before his death that the actor is improving.

Zeba told Spotboye in an interview: “Before these mobile phones appeared in our lives, I used to call him on his landline to wish him his birthday and Diwali. And once the WhatsApp trend started, we communicated about it to wish for each other. Also, he used to send me messages every time a Ranbir Kapoor movie was released and I used to go see it. “

Zeba made her Bollywood debut with Henna in 1991. While playing the title role, Rishi played her lover Chander Prakash. It was directed by Randhir and his superstar father Raj Kapoor.

Recalling her first encounter with Rishi prior to filming, she said, “The first day I worked with Rishi Kapoor was for a screen shoot and a photo shoot for Henna. It was brand new and unfamiliar with everything, so I was very, very nervous. But it made it quite comfortable for me and was very encouraging, so much so that in just 48 hours I felt that the Kapoor family is my family. “
