Riddhima Kapoor Sahni left for Mumbai from Delhi the day after her father Rishi Kapoor died on May 1. He arrived in Mumbai on Saturday night.

Riddhima Kapoor Sahni, who left Delhi by road on May 1, arrived in Mumbai on Saturday (May 2) evening. Her daughter Samara Sahni accompanied her.
Riddhima was unable to attend the last rites of his father Rishi Kapoor in Mumbai due to the ongoing blockade. Although he applied for a special permit from the Delhi Police and obtained a pass, he was unable to fly. Therefore, he took the road route to Mumbai from the capital on Friday.
Rishi Kapoor last breathed on April 30 after a two-year long battle with leukemia. He was cremated on Thursday at the Chandanwadi crematorium in Mumbai in the presence of some of his family and friends.
While leaving Delhi for Mumbai, Riddhima Kapoor Sahni turned to social media and posted an Instagram story. Sharing a video taken in his car, he wrote: “Driving home Ma. Enroute Mumbai (sic)”.
Riddhima was unable to be physically present at the Chandanwadi crematorium, but he did see Ranbir and the family performing the last rites during a video call.
The remains of Rishi Kapoor were taken directly to the crematorium at HN Reliance Hospital in Mumbai on Thursday afternoon. Only 20 of Rishi Kapoor’s close family and friends were able to participate in his latest trip. Ranbir Kapoor, who performed the last rites, was accompanied by his girlfriend, Alia Bhatt. Her cousin Kareena Kapoor Khan was also present with her husband Saif Ali Khan. Ranbir’s other cousins, Armaan Jain and Aadar Jain, also attended the funeral with their parents Rima Jain and Manoj Jain.
