The daughter of actor Rishi Kapoor, jewelry designer Riddhima Kapoor Sahni, and her husband, businessman Bharat Sahni, have posted photos in memory of the actor, who died Thursday. While Riddhima shared a couple of family photos, Bharat shared a photo of what appears to be the Banganga tank where the actor’s ashes were immersed on Sunday.
Riddhima took the Instagram stories and shared an old photo of her father. He also posted a photo of Rishi and Neetu Kapoor posing with a baby Ranbir Kapoor. On Monday, Neetu wrote a message of thanks to the doctors who treated Rishi. She wrote: “As a family, we have a deep sense of loss… when we sit together and look at the past few months, what we also feel is immense gratitude: gratitude to the doctors at the trusted HN hospital! The entire team of doctors, brothers and nurses led by Dr. Tarang Gianchandani treated my husband as if he were their own, they advised us as if we were their own … and for all that and more, I thank them from the bottom of my heart ” Riddhima also shared her mother’s message on Instagram.
Bharat, meanwhile, posted a photo of what the Banganga tank looks like. He wrote in his caption: “I consider myself lucky to have something that makes it difficult to say goodbye. Thanks for the memories.”

Ranbir, his girlfriend Alia Bhatt, Riddhima, Neetu and filmmaker Ayan Mukerji were seen dipping Rishi’s ashes in the Banganga on Sunday. Rishi’s brother Randhir Kapoor said a prayer meeting was held for the actor on Saturday. “We met in prayer yesterday. Today we are dipping his ashes in Banganga as we have not received permission from the authorities to go to Haridwar, “Randhir Kapoor told PTI.
Riddhima arrived in Mumbai on Saturday night, two days after the veteran actor died of leukemia. He was unable to attend his funeral on Thursday as he did not obtain permission to fly to Mumbai due to restrictions on the national closure.
