Mumbai: In an important event, actress Rhea Chakraborty has confessed to the Bureau of Narcotics Control (NCB) that she acquired drugs but never used them. Rhea was questioned by the agency for more than six hours.

The 28-year-old arrived at the agency’s office in the Ballard Estate area at 12 noon and left around 6:50 p.m. She has been summoned again by the OCN for the second round of interrogations tomorrow.

During his questioning, a cross-examination occurred between Rhea, brother Showik Chakraborty, Sushant’s household help, Dipesh Sawant, and the late actor’s household manager, Samuel Miranda, reports Tamal Saha of Times Now.

The development came a day after a Mumbai court referred Rhea’s brother, Showik Chakraborty and Samuel Miranda, to NCB custody for 4 days until September 9.

A total of 8 people have been arrested so far by the NCB, six of whom are directly related to this investigation, while two were arrested when the investigation was initiated under the criminal sections of the Narcotics and Psychotropic Substances Act ( NDPS).

In a statement late Saturday, the brothers’ father, Lieutenant Colonel (retired) Indrajit Chakraborty, condemned Showik’s arrest by the NCB. “Congratulations India, you have arrested my son, I am sure my daughter is next in line and I don’t know who will be next,” Indrajit Chakraborty said.

“You have effectively demolished a middle class family. But of course, for the sake of justice, everything is justified. Jai Hind,” said the retired army officer.

‘Dipesh is an active member of the drug union’

The Narcotics Control Office (NCB) said earlier today that Sushant’s home aide Dipesh Sawant was an active member of a drug union. All three, Showik, Miranda and Sawant, were taken into custody after the agency claimed it had obtained sufficient evidence against them regarding their involvement in the drug case.

“Based on the statements of Dipesh Sawant, home aide to the late actor Sushant Singh Rajput, and the digital evidence compiled by NCB, it is clear that Dipesh is an active member of the drug syndicate connected to high society personalities and vendors of drugs, “said the NCB. .
