On November 9, 2019, the Supreme Court resolved the contentious Ramjanmabhoomi-Babri Masjid issue dating back more than a century and backed the construction of a Ram temple through a trust at the disputed site. He also ruled that an alternate five-acre plot must be found for a mosque in the Hindu holy city.
