New Delhi:
Rishi Kapoor used to be the heart and soul of all Kapoor gatherings. The veteran actor died in Mumbai on April 30 after battling cancer for two years. Rishi Kapoor’s daughter Riddhima and his wife Neetu Kapoor often remember the actor in emotional posts and Riddhima shared a heartwarming note on this Diwali. “I miss you dad,” she captioned a photo from last year, in which she appears with her two parents. Rishi Kapoor, Neetu, and Riddhima clicked outside Amitabh Bachchan’s Diwali festival, which was held in Jalsa. Rishi Kapoor returned to Mumbai in September of that year after spending nearly a year in New York for treatment.
Remembering Rishi Kapoor, this is what Riddhima shared on her Instagram story:
In Karwa Chauth, Neetu Kapoor remembered Rishi Kapoor with this post. “Karwa Chauth with family. I miss you Kapoor Sahab.” She shared a photo of the Kapoor family from the Karwa Chauth meeting this year, with Riddhima, Kareena Kapoor, Nitasha Nanda, Aadar Jain, Armaan Jain and his wife Anissa Malhotra, and Rima and Manoj Jain. Riddhima, who missed his father, dropped the red heart on his mother’s post.
Neetu Kapoor also missed Rishi Kapoor’s presence when a new adventure began: next movie Jug Jugg Jeeyo. She co-stars with Varun Dhawan, Anil Kapoor, and Kiara Advani in the film, whose team flew in from Mumbai just before Diwali. “While Kapoor Sahab, you are not here holding my hand, I know you are with me … #RnR thank you for encouraging me to do this,” Neetu wrote in a post.
After Rishi Kapoor’s death, Riddhima, who is a Delhi-based jewelry designer, spent months with her mother in Mumbai. Riddhima recently flew to Delhi as Neetu Kapoor began work on Jug Jugg Jeeyo.
