PUBG return

PUBG Corporation said on Thursday that it is returning to the Indian market with the creation of an Indian subsidiary and a new game. PUBG said that it is preparing to launch PUBG Mobile India, a new game created specifically for the Indian market.

The Indian subsidiary will hire more than 100 employees specializing in business, esports and game development, PUBG Corp said.

To alleviate concerns about data privacy and security, PUBG said it will conduct regular audits and checks on storage systems that contain personally identifiable information of Indian users to tighten security and ensure their data is managed properly safe.

To build and foster a healthy gaming environment, game content will be enhanced and adapted to reflect local needs, he added.

Various aspects of the game will be customized for Indian players, such as the game now taking place in a virtual simulation training ground, new characters automatically start dressed, and green impact effects to reflect the virtual nature of the game.

The company will include a feature that restricts playtime to promote healthy gaming habits for younger players.

The immensely popular PlayerUnknown’s Battlegrounds (PUBG) mobile app was among 118 Chinese apps that the Indian government banned in September on national security grounds.

To lift the ban, PUBG Corp made the decision to no longer authorize the PUBG Mobile franchise to China-based Tencent Games in India.
