Sushant Singh Rajput case, Rhea Chakraborty, CBI investigation, Mumbai news, Indian Express NewsEarlier this month, the high court had granted bail to Rhea, a defendant in the Sushant Singh Rajput death case, nearly a month after her arrest in the NCB drug case.

On Tuesday, actor Rhea Chakraborty petitioned the Bombay High Court to reject the guilty plea brought by Sushant Singh Rajput’s sisters, Priyanka and Meetu, who sought to quash the First Information Report (FIR) filed against them after the Rhea’s complaint for falsifying and obtaining a false prescription for her brother.

Earlier this month, the higher court had granted bail to Rhea, a defendant in the Sushant Singh Rajput death case, nearly a month after her arrest in the Narcotics Control Office drug case ( NCB).

A bench in the division of Judge SS Shinde and Judge MS Karnik on Tuesday listened to the guilty plea presented by the deceased actor’s sisters via videoconference via lawyer Madhav Thorat.

Rhea, facing investigation by central agencies in connection with the Rajput death case, filed a police complaint on 7 September against the late actor’s sister, Priyanka Singh, and a doctor at Ram Manohar Lohia Hospital in Delhi for allegedly Obtain Sushant psychiatric medications without consultation and by using a counterfeit prescription.

In her complaint, Rhea asked Bandra police to investigate whether these drugs, which fall under the purview of the Narcotics and Psychotropic Substances Act (NDPS), caused Sushant’s mental health to deteriorate or her death on June 14. . Bandra Police also filed a lawsuit against Dr Tarun Kumar from Ram Manohar Lohia Hospital in Delhi, who signed the prescription.

In their statement to the High Court, the Rajput sisters said that Rhea, according to the FIR content, had made “conflicting statements” about the death of the actor. The sisters, while awaiting the hearing, also requested provisional measures to suspend the proceedings derived from the FIR and prevent the prosecution from taking coercive measures against them.

They said Rhea first claimed in her July 16 tweet that she did not know what led Sushant to die by suicide and subsequently told the Supreme Court that she was not suspicious of anyone, but later changed her statements and accused them of negligence. The sisters also said that the FIR submission is contrary to Supreme Court instructions given that the suicide case is being investigated by the Central Bureau of Investigation (CBI).

The Rajput sisters also said that no crime could be attributed to them, as the complaint was based solely on medicines prescribed by a doctor and could therefore be overturned in light of an earlier Supreme Court ruling.

On Tuesday, Rhea’s attorney, Satish Maneshinde, filed her affidavit in response to the guilty plea and stated that since the case against the Rajput sisters is at an “incipient” stage, the agency was required to investigation had time. In addition, he said that the “counterfeit” and “fabricated” medical prescription was used to help the Rajput purchase drugs prohibited by the NDPS Act.

The affidavit read: “Rajput died just five days after obtaining said prescription, in which psychotropic substances were illegally prescribed at the behest of his sister (Priyanka) and Dr. Tarun Kumar.”

On June 8, Rhea had only been aware of the medications prescribed by Priyanka and had warned Sushant not to take them. It was only in September that Rhea became aware of the fact that instead of following her advice, Priyanka had fraudulently obtained a manufactured prescription from the co-defendant (Dr. Tarun Kumar).

Rhea in her affidavit also said that the Rajput had a “tumultuous relationship” with her family and that she suffered from mental problems and was receiving medical treatment for them.

Rhea said that it was necessary to investigate whether the Rajputs used prescription drugs, which may have contributed to their death and / or further deteriorated their mental health and therefore the request of the Rajput sisters was dismissed at high costs.

The court ordered CBI and the Mumbai police to submit their affidavits in response to the guilty plea and released the matter for a further hearing on November 4.
