The Redmi Note 9 series was introduced in March, but it never made it to China. This will change on Thursday, November 26, when the lineup is finally expected to debut in the local market. We are expecting a top-notch 5G variant called the Redmi Note 9 Pro 5G alongside a Redmi Note 9 5G and a 4G variant.
We now have official confirmation of the key specifications of the Note 9 Pro 5G thanks to Redmi GM Lu Weibing, who confirmed that the device will work with the Snapdragon 750G chipset. Additionally, an unofficial image is circulating on Weibo with the rest of the Note 9 Pro 5G’s key specs including a 6.68-inch LCD with a 120Hz refresh rate, a 4,820mAh battery with 33W fast charging, NFC , headphone jack and infrared emitter.

These specs match the Xiaomi Mi 10T Lite, which pretty much confirms that the upcoming Redmi Note 9 Pro 5G is another endeavor with a new name. The only expected difference is in the main camera, which will be a 108MP snapper on the Note 9 Pro 5G instead of the 64MP shooter on the Mi 10T Lite.
The official Redmi Note 9 Pro 5G box also made its first appearance thanks to another Weibo post from Lu Weibing over the weekend. It features a colorful design and illustrations of cartoon characters.
