Ravichandran Ashwin may have failed to win the Delhi Capitals match against Kings XI Punjab on Tuesday, but managed to beat Chris Gayle at the Dubai International Stadium in Match 38 of the current Indian Premier League. On Wednesday, Ashwin took to Instagram to share a photo of himself with Gayle, in which he can be seen helping the West Indies by tying his shoelaces. It was the ingenious legend of Ashwin that sent his fans into a frenzy.
“The devil is always in the details.” Tie both feet on him, before throwing him. “@ Chrisgayle333 you entrusted it to me and I’m sorry I disappointed you. A tough day for us @DelhiCapitals, but we’ll bounce back stronger,” Ashwin captioned the post on Instagram.
In the game, Ashwin cleaned Gayle when the West Indies hitter missed a sweep and the ball slammed into his stumps.
For Delhi Capitals, Shikhar Dhawan was the star once again with the bat by becoming the first hitter in IPL history to crush two hundred in a row in the tournament.
Delhi posted a competitive total of 164/5 of its assigned 20 overs.
Mohammed Shami was the bowlers’ pick, finishing his quota of four overs in figures of two for 28.

Gayle scored 25 runs after Tushar Deshpande ended, but couldn’t turn the start into a great inning.
