Wolves striker Raúl Jiménez said he couldn’t say no if big clubs like Barcelona called him this summer.
The Mexico international has been a great success in the Premier League since joining the Portuguese team Benfica in 2015.
Jiménez had scored 22 times for the wolves in all competitions in 2019-20 before the competition stopped due to the coronavirus that has fueled speculation about his future.
The striker says he wants to stay in England, but admitted that if a big club expressed its interest, it would not reject it.
“If you tell me that an offer from Real Madrid or Barcelona arrives tomorrow, it is obvious that you do not miss that opportunity. But if I stay here, I’m struggling to qualify for the Champions League, for important things.
“Fighting for the title still seems difficult, but we are in the round of 16 of the Europa League. I think I made the right decision to come here [to Wolves] And I don’t regret it.
“Leaving the doors open for anything is the most important thing. With Wolves we are fighting for the Champions League, I am happy and I am an important player for the fans and for the team. I’m fine, I don’t close any doors, I’m open to what comes, but that doesn’t stop me from sleeping. “
