Ratan Tata has once again taken the fake news by popping a news article falsely attributed to him. In a tweet published last night, the president emeritus of Tata Sons shared an image of the article and denied having said or written the quotes attributed to him. “I am also afraid that this has not been said by me,” he wrote in his tweet.
The title of the article, when translated from Hindi, says: “Message from Ratan Tata: 2020 is the year of survival, don’t worry about profit and loss.” It also shows an image of Tata followed by the rest of the article.
Tata said the piece was fake and also shared a message in her tweet.
“I will strive to call fake news whenever I can, but I would encourage him to always check the news sources,” he wrote. “My photo with a quote does not guarantee that I said it, a problem that many people face,” he added.
Since then, Tata’s tweet has collected more than one lakh of likes and more than 22,800 retweets, and counting.

Previously, also in April, Tata had denied another note attributed to him that spoke about the impact of the coronavirus on the economy. The viral message also showed a picture of Tata. The industrialist not only denied the piece, but also stated in his tweet that if he had to give a statement, he would do so through his official social networks.
