After MI’s victory, Bollywood celebrities were seen rejoicing over the victory of their favorite team.
Mumbai Indians (MI) whipped Capitals of Delhi (DC) through five windows in the Indian Premier League (IPL) Final 2020 at the Dubai International Cricket Stadium on Tuesday. Not only Mumbaikars, but also fans across the country were found celebrating MI’s victory from their homes amid the COVID-19 scare.
The magnificent opening spell of Trent Boult and the brilliant half century of Captain Rohit Sharma in his 200th IPL start he led the Mumbai-based franchise to its fifth title.
Joining fans in celebrating MI’s triumph was the Bollywood actor Ranveer Singh. The actor took to Instagram and performed a rap from his movie ‘Gully Boy’ to wish MI his record win.
As for the crash, MI chased the race goal of 156 in 18.4 overs. They won the consecutive titles.
The Mumbai Indians are the only team to have won consecutive IPL trophies since Chennai Super Kings (CSK) in 2010 and 2011.
