Ram Gopal Varma, who has known Anurag Kashyap for the past 20 years, supported the filmmaker. Kashyap was accused of sexual misconduct by actress Payal Ghosh. Taking his Twitter account, Ram Gopal Varma stated that he cannot imagine what is happening now as the Anurag Kashyap that he knows is very sensitive and emotional.

He wrote: ‘The @ anuragkashyap72 I know is a very sensitive and emotional person and I have never seen or heard of him hurting someone in the 20 years that I have known him. ‘

In addition to all the support Kashyap has been receiving from his friends in the industry and his Bollywood counterparts, his ex-wives Aarti Bajaj and Kalki Koechlin also shared supportive posts for the ‘Gangs of Wasseypur’ director.

Payal Ghosh accused Anurag Kashyap of sexually harassing her in 2014 and treating her badly at his residence. After sharing her post on social media, she was endorsed by Kangana Ranaut. The ‘Queen’ actress also shared her experience in Bollywood on her Twitter account and called the #MeToo movement in Bollywood a failure.
